The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Kharj, represented by the Community Responsibility Unit, participated with the College of Science and Humanities in Al-Kharj in organizing a seminar entitled “Sports and Women’s Health” on Wednesday, 29 October 2025. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Nadia Lotfy Radwan from the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the College, and was held at the theater of the College of Science and Humanities in Al-Kharj at 11:00 a.m.

The lecture included information on the impact of physical activity on blood glucose levels, blood pressure, and lipids, as well as its effects on pregnancy and menopause. It also addressed the role of exercise in improving concentration, memory, and immunity, in addition to discussing barriers to physical activity and possible solutions, determinants of exercise intensity, methods for preventing injuries, and the most common and important types of physical exercises.

At the conclusion of the seminar, questions from the audience were addressed. The event also included an awareness booth featuring brochures, publications, and handouts highlighting the importance of physical activity, physical and mental health, key exercise types, and motivational messages encouraging regular exercise.
