The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Kharj, represented by the Community Responsibility Unit and the Student Activities Unit, in collaboration with the Fifteenth Secondary School for Girls, organized an event titled “From School Desks to Horizons of Health Specializations” on February 16, 2026, at the college’s female campus.
The event aimed to introduce secondary school students to the college’s health programs, enhance career awareness, and support informed decisions about future majors through interactive activities linking theory with practice.
The program included presentations on academic specializations, career opportunities, academic advising, and the internship year. Senior students shared their experiences, followed by an open discussion session.
Participants also explored interactive booths from the Departments of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiology and Medical Imaging, and Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, featuring hands-on activities and practical demonstrations. The visit concluded with a tour of the laboratories and physical therapy clinic.
The event had a positive impact, increasing students’ interest in health fields. Organizers emphasized the importance of continuing such initiatives to strengthen community engagement and career awareness.
