The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Kharj, represented by the Community Responsibility Unit and the Student Activities Unit, in collaboration with the Fifth Secondary School in Al-Kharj, organized the “International Volunteer Day” event on Wednesday, 10/12/2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of volunteering, its various forms, and its impact on individuals and the community.

The event included awareness and educational booths that featured a variety of brochures, publications, handouts, and illustrative materials designed to achieve the event’s objectives. In addition, the booths hosted short lectures delivered by the participating students, which covered the concept of volunteering, its types, methods of registering for volunteer opportunities, and the most suitable opportunities for students of their age group. A model of a health-related volunteer opportunity was also presented, highlighting volunteering in first aid.

The event concluded with an open session to receive and answer questions from attendees, led by the participating members. The event witnessed strong attendance, interaction, and positive feedback from students and school staff, reflecting their appreciation of the valuable information provided about volunteering, its importance, its types, and available volunteer opportunities—particularly in the health and social fields.
