The College of Applied Medical Sciences held an introductory meeting for new students on Wednesday, September 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the college theater. The event was attended by the Vice Dean of the College, department coordinators, faculty members, unit heads, college staff, and the new students.The meeting commenced with a verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the performance of the Royal Anthem.
The Vice Dean then delivered an opening speech to welcome the new students and esteemed attendees, offering words of encouragement for the new academic year.Subsequently, each department presented an overview of its specialization, study plans, available departments, training opportunities, and career prospects. The presentations included the Medical Imaging and Radiology Department, the Medical Laboratory Sciences Department, and the Medical Rehabilitation Department.
The Student Guidance and Counseling Unit followed with a welcoming address, emphasizing the importance of academic and personal guidance. The unit’s representatives introduced its structure, student support initiatives, and the registration process.Next, the coordinator of the Student Work Unit welcomed the students and encouraged them to participate in the college’s Student Activity Club. She also explained how to activate each student’s Skills Record, highlighting its role in developing personal, technical, professional, and social competencies.
The event also featured information booths for the college’s various clubs and small exhibits prepared by students from each department. Finally, the unit coordinators provided a concise overview of the services available to students.
