The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University is dedicated to graduating highly qualified medical specialists equipped with the knowledge and skills to advance the field. Radiology and medical imaging specialties utilize advanced technologies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine, to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases. This specialty plays a pivotal role in early detection, treatment planning, and disease monitoring across various medical disciplines. Additionally, interventional radiology focuses on minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. With ongoing advancements in technology, such as artificial intelligence and 3D imaging, radiology remains a cornerstone of modern healthcare, delivering precise, non-invasive, and timely insights that improve patient outcomes.

- Orientation Session for Students of the Radiological Sciences and Medical Imaging Program
On Wednesday, 14/02/1446 AH, the Department of Radiological Sciences and Medical Imaging held a comprehensive orientation session for newly admitted students. This event was part of the department’s efforts to support students academically and professionally from day one and to introduce them to the structure of the program and expectations for the upcoming academic years.
The session covered a range of important academic and professional topics, including an overview of the study plan, learning outcomes, assessment methods, and a guided tour of the imaging laboratories. Students also had the opportunity to engage with faculty members and ask questions.
- Participation in the International Day of Radiology
The Community Service Unit, in cooperation with the Maternity and Children's Hospital in Al Kharj, held a Radiology Day event to commemorate the International Day of Radiology. This annual event aims to raise awareness of the value radiology contributes to providing safe patient care, the role of radiology technicians, and the latest applications in the field.
- Ovarian cancer awareness event.
The event was organized to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and the role of radiology in its detection, with the participation of program students. The event was held in collaboration with Al-Hadith Commercial Complex, contributing to better outreach to the Al-Kharj Governorate community.
- Participation in the 5th Health Innovation Hackathon
Two groups of male and female students and a number of faculty members from the department participated in the 5th Health Hackathon held at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. The groups were selected from among more than 1,450 applicants from across the Kingdom's universities.
- Participation in the event of "Your Specialization"
The department participated in the "Your Specialization" event within the university, where department staff and students introduced visitors and those interested in radiology and medical imaging.
- Scientific Publication Award
The College of Applied Medical Sciences congratulates Prof. Abdel Moneim Adam Mohamed Suleiman, a faculty member in the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, on receiving the Scientific Publication Award (for faculty members) at the Research, Development, and Innovation Forum. We wish him continued progress and success.
