General Requirements for Admission:
The PSAU has central policies and procedures for admitting and following up the progress of all students throughout their studying at the university. The Deanship of Admission and Registration administer these policies and procedures.
The following are admission requirements stipulated for the admission of the new student:
1- An applicant must have a Saudi Secondary School Certificate - Science Section (SSSC-SS) or its equivalent within international schools in Saudi Arabia or aboard.
2- The SSSC-SS should not be more than five years old and the University Council or Rector of the University may give exemption from this condition when convincing reasons are provided.
3- An applicant must have completed the General Aptitude Test (GAT) administered by the National Center for Assessment in Higher Education.
4- An applicant must have completed the Scholastic Achievement Admission Test (Science) administered by the National Center for Assessment in Higher Education.
An Applicant must have minimum qualifying scores in SSSCSS, GAT, and Scholastic Achievement Admission Test (Science) of total equivalent percentage of 75% [based on 30% from the SSSCSS, 30% from the GAT, 40% from Scholastic Achievement Admission Test (Science)].
Applications are to be submitted online to the Deanship for Admission and Registration (although some documents are sent per post) in the specified periods for each semester. When applications exceed availability, priority is given to the students with higher grades. To complete the registration procedure, further communication with the Deanship of Admission and Registration is required.
The acceptance application will be sent back for applicants who do not complete all procedures of acceptance in a timely manner without an acceptable excuse from the Deanship for Admission and Registration. If it becomes apparent that a newly accepted student has been previously dismissed due to disciplinary or academic reasons, the acceptance shall be nullified (e.g., the applicant must not have been dismissed from another university for disciplinary reasons.)
Accepted students start studying at the Preparatory Year Deanship in Medical path for the students interested in enrolling at College of Applied Medical Science upon completion of the preparatory year modules. After passing the preparatory year and based on the interest and the cumulative GPA of students, a number of students are enrolled in the college.
