College of Applied Medical Sciences is one of the health colleges in Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University - Al-Kharj which was established under the Royal Decree No. (5997 / B) dated 10/8/1427. On the basis of the Royal Decree No. 7305 / MB dated 3/9/1430 establishing the University of Al-Kharj; and the issuance of the Royal Decree No. 45388 dated 12/10/1432H by changing the university's name to Salman bin Abdulaziz University, and then changed the name of the university to Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
The College of Applied Medical Sciences aims to provide distinguished academic programs in accordance with international quality standards and academic accreditation. The College's specialized programs aim to provide graduates with excellent professional and research skills by providing a creative work environment conducive to learning and creativity while supporting and providing an excellent environment for the dissemination of medical research. Based on these objectives, a distinguished administrative structure and an academic cadre of various scientific schools, as well as committees and various units to serve the student and the community.
The College offers ten academic programs from five academic departments with a duration of four and a half years. The student is then required to complete a full year of clinical training in the medical departments of the advanced hospitals throughout the Kingdom. He applies what he learned during his studies and takes advantage of the experience of his predecessors.
The college graduates can work in the hospitals of Ministry of Health, government hospitals affiliated with Saudi universities, military hospitals and specialized centers in the fields of rehabilitation, radiology, medical imaging and laboratory, nursing, and biomedical technology. The college graduates can also work in research centers as well.
